Automatic Feed Company is currently seeking applications for a Technical Buyer position. This individual would perform the following essential functions:
1.Understanding and documenting business requirements including preparing, tracking and reviewing purchase orders through the purchasing process.
2.Understanding drawings and GDT dimensioning, call outs and finishing.
3.Understanding welding and machining concerns to review with suppliers.
4.Identifying and screening potential suppliers on multiple criteria (price, quality, delivery, availability, reliability and selection) and risk analysis if applicable.
6.Identifying and realizing opportunities for cost reduction.
7.Formalizing agreements according to company policy monitoring supplier compliance with contract terms.
8.Following up on orders to ensure that materials are shipped and delivered on promised dates being mindful of product lead times in relationship to manufacturing schedules.
9.Entering in all changes to the Purchasing system including price changes and engineering updates.
10.Preparing and filing all purchasing related documentation.
11.Preparing and completing reports as required.
This position also requires attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multi-task, strong communication and organizational skills. Interested applicants must be willing to travel.
