Calibration Services

We provide calibration services for both the mechanical and electrical equipment prior to running our regular Preventative Maintenance program checks. To do this, we observe the line in operation and we communicate with the operators or maintenance personnel in order to determine if there are any areas that require priority attention prior to PM.

Electrical

• Check and calibrate magnet voltage on each row
• Manually release each part to check for consistency
• Check sonics for correct feedback
• Check motor brushes and record length to monitor wear
• Back up Unico settings
• Check feedback devices for any loose connections or wiring
• Change batteries on Unico drive, if needed

Mechanical

• Check pinch roll preload and reshim as needed
• Check level accuracy of leveler bridge
• Check blade clearances on crop shear and oscillating die
• Inspect gear segment and gear-box for proper clearance and wear
• Inspect pinch and leveler/straightener roll
• Check backlash in gearboxes
• Machine alignment

Electrical/Mechanical

• Ensure readouts on leveler bridge are displaying actual position
• Check feedback of the guides for correct positioning
• Check uncoilers for correct positioning and centering
